Terms of Service

Agreement

By accessing tru-optic.com or app.tru-optic.com (together, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you agree on behalf of that organization.

The service

Tru-Optic is a subscription platform for searching, analyzing, and monitoring skilled nursing facility data, including quality metrics, financials, ownership records, and compliance history aggregated from public sources and community contributions.

Your account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account, keep your credentials secure, and notify us of any unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.

Trials, billing, and cancellation

New accounts receive a 14-day free trial with full platform access. After the trial, the Basic plan is $25 per month and the Enterprise plan is $250 per month (including 10 seats), billed monthly.

There are no long-term contracts. You can cancel anytime from your account or by emailing support@tru-optic.com; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you retain access until then.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Resell, redistribute, or republish data from the Service at scale, or use it to build a competing product.
• Scrape or bulk-extract the Service by automated means outside the export features we provide.
• Share your account credentials beyond the seats included in your plan.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in a way that disrupts it for others.

Data accuracy disclaimer

Data in the Service is aggregated from public sources — including CMS publications and cost report filings — and from community contributions. It is provided for informational purposes only, on an "as is" basis, and may contain errors, omissions, or lag behind real-world events.

Tru-Optic does not provide medical, legal, financial, or investment advice. You are responsible for independently verifying any information before relying on it for clinical, regulatory, investment, or other decisions.

Community contributions

When you submit a community edit (such as an ownership update), you grant Tru-Optic a license to display and share that contribution with other users of the Service. You agree not to submit information that is false, misleading, confidential, or that you do not have the right to share.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and compiled datasets, belongs to Tru-Optic. Your private notes and tags belong to you.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as disclaimers and limitations of liability) will survive.

Disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tru-Optic's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated terms on this page and update the date at the top. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
